Veterinary surgery deals with diagnostics, surgical treatment of congenital and acquired surgical diseases, as well as pathologies in animals.
A surgeon at the Veterinary Hub will always examine a small patient before performing any surgical intervention and establish a diagnosis, taking into account the results of additional diagnostic manipulations and the characteristics of the body’s development, breed predisposition and defects. Having identified a pathology, he will prescribe treatment, preventive measures, and rehabilitation in the postoperative period. Unfortunately, drug treatment is not always able to solve the problem or congenital pathology. Professional veterinary surgeons help pets forget about discomfort, pain, intoxication, oncology, or completely change the lives of small patients.
At the Veterinary Clinic in Kyiv, professional surgeons perform various planned and emergency surgical interventions for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes – both the simplest and most common operations and complex reconstructive operations on bones, joints, and ligaments.
HAB.VET has a surgical unit consisting of a separate sterile operating room, preoperative room, and nursing ward. The surgical department works in tandem with the departments of the preoperative unit, anesthesiology, and intensive care.
The preparation of instruments and equipment is carried out in compliance with all the rules of asepsis and antiseptics, which allows for operations of any degree of complexity, excluding the possibility of infectious complications. Preparation of animals for surgery (preoperative infusion, premedication, induction of anesthesia, preparation of the surgical field) is carried out in the preoperative unit. There, the pet remains under the supervision of a veterinary anesthesiologist until it fully recovers from anesthesia, and receives postoperative care.
The following surgical interventions are performed at the Veterinary Hub in Kyiv:
